Festival Participant: Envinity

Since 2005, Envinity has offered a wide range of energy services to homeowners and businesses throughout Pennsylvania, helping clients live and work in buildings that are environmentally responsible, less costly to operate, and healthier for their occupants.

Our residential services include custom green design and construction, renewable energy system installation, energy auditing, mechanical system installation and service, and home performance contracting. On any given day, you might find us building timber frame homes, installing solar and geothermal systems, performing energy audits, and installing energy-saving HVAC systems.

Envinity's commercial division analyzes and improves energy usage in the places we work, offering services such as energy management planning, design and engineering, construction, and project management. We typically help clients save 5%-10% of their energy costs with no capital cost expenditures on their part. On average, companies that implement our energy recommendations achieve utility cost reductions of 20% - 30%, with a payback of 5 years or less. In most cases, energy improvements are fully financed by the savings they produce.

Envinity is an employee-owned company rooted in the comprehensive systems approach to green design, construction and energy management for residential and commercial clients. Our integrated team of engineers, building scientists and craftsmen create economic value and restore our environment.
In April, Envinity installed a 9.2 kW rooftop PV system on the Happy Valley Winery in State College. The system will offset about 75% of the electricity used in the winery operations, producing about 11,000 kWh of electricity per year.

Envinity will also be building a tasting room for the winery. This is a design sketch of what that timber frame structure will look like when completed.
